Summer Camp “Sustainable Living – Non-violence and Human Security Policy”, Serbia

Open to: young people (17 to 32 years old) interested in the topics of the event, and coming from Council of Europe member state and Belarus
Costs: participation fee of 40EUR, travel expenses will be reimbursed up to 70%

Cooperation and Development Network Eastern Europe has announced an open call or participants of the summer camp “Sustainable living – Non-violence and Human Security Policy”. This project will take place during 10 days in the month of August in Serbia.

The summer camp will be organized as functional model of self-sustainable community that puts into practice the principles of an environmentally friendly life-style. The accommodation will be organized in tents and activities and sessions will be outside as much as possible. Every participants will be involved in running the camp, solving problems and decision-making concerning the conditions of living and working during the camp.

Camp conditions

Sustainable and ecological solutions for all the basic needs that participants have will be designed and implemented by the technical coordinator of the camp:
* all the participants will have access to toilets, showers and other hygiene means (access for hot water will be designed and implemented within the limits of sustainable and ecological solutions : It’s aimed to provide approximately 20 liters of 35 C degree water/individual per day)
* all the participants will have access to decent food and meals 3 times a day, beside the refreshments during the day
* ecological community solutions will be designed and provided for water both for drinking and hygiene usages
* Ecological and sustainable solutions for energy issues will be designed and implemented (limited access to electricity for participants to charge their mobile phones)

Eligibility

This call is open for applicants coming from any of the Council of Europe member states  and Belarus.
Participants should be interested in the topics of this event, willing to take active part in the planned activities and open for new experiences and people.
Considering that this is a youth event the participants shall not be younger then 17 and older then 32.
