Venue: 26 June  – 03 July 2011, Svalbard, Norway

This training course is organized by the British Council Climate Change Team, The Youth in Action Project and facilitated by UNEP. It will focus mainly on the Arctic Governance. The projects is aimed at young people that are active in climate change projects and want to learn more about the issues of climate change in the arctic regions.

During the event participants will learn about polar climate related issues, sustainable tourism and undergo capacity building in communicating climate change. At the same time they will see and experience the full beauty and drama of Svalbard and the polar Arctic region.

Eligibility

Young people, aged 18 to 30, active in Climate Change projects from: Austria, Belgium – DE, Belgium – FL, Belgium – FR, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Croatia.

Application

Fill in the application form and send it to your National Agency, as they are the responsible entity for the selection of candidates.
You can find the list of NA in the official webpage.

Costs

The British Council will cover all hosting costs such as accommodation and food. Applicants applying to their national agency will cover the costs of travel to and from Svalbard.

      I feel like I am attacked by your upright question.
      Ad 1) What about changing your form of question.
      Ad 2) If you clicked on the official webpage above, you would see the list of countries eligible. Macedonia is not in there.
      Ad 3) Macedonia does not have a National Agency, which could also tell you that participants from there are not eligible.
