PhD Scholarship on Global Security at Danish Institute for International Studies

As a part of a research project on Globality and Planetary Security, a PhD scholarship is available at the research unit on Defence and Security, Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS), and the Department of Political Science and Public Management, University of Southern Denmark (SDU). The scholarship is available for appointment for a period of 3 years as of May 1st, 2011 or soon thereafter.

The PhD project should focus on how notions of globality and planetary security inform or have informed debates about the nature and management of nuclear weapons in international politics. The project should relate this research to debates about contemporary and future nuclear policy options.

Eligibility

Applications are invited from candidates with a Master’s degree. Only candidates with top academic qualifications will be considered for enrolment.
