Youth Entrepreneurship Manager, Pristina

Open to: graduates in international relations, political science, law, or similar field of study with at least 4 years of professional experience
Contract: 5 years, with initial 6 months contract
Salary: commensurate with background and previous experience

The Balkan Children and Youth Foundation provides young people with employability skills to enhance their possibilities for a rewarding employment. The activities of BCYF are mainly focused in the field of youth entrepreneurship through employability programs implemented in cooperation with youth NGOs and job internships implemented in cooperation with the business sector.

In next five (5) years BCYF will focus on implementation of the youth entrepreneurship component within “Youth Employment and Participation” (YEP) Program in Kosovo supported by USAID and coordinated by Education Development Center (EDC).

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, evaluation and completion of YEP Program while ensuring consistency with BCYF and USAID strategy, commitments and goals;
• Facilitate the definition of program scope, goals and deliverable; define program tasks and resource requirements;
• Communicate  clearly  and  directly  with  program staff concerning  performance,  expectations,  productivity  and  accountability; provide direction and support to program team;
• Plan and schedule program time frame, while monitoring and reporting on its progress to all stakeholders;
• Prepare  and  coordinate  activity  and progress reports, identifying problems and solutions;
• Implement and manage program changes and interventions to achieve planned outputs;
• Supervise the work of Grants and Finance Manager, and other program staff;

Eligibility

• University degree in international relations, political science, law, or similar field of study (Masters Degree will be considered as a strong asset);
• Minimum of 4 years work experience preferably with international organizations, knowledge of administrative and political structures and affairs of Kosovo and familiarity with the BCYF, USAID and other international institutions operation;
• Ability  to  manage  teams;
• Computer literate with practical experience in Microsoft packages;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (fluency in Kosovo official languages will be a strong asset);
• Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds;
• Priority  will  be  given  to  candidates  with  experience  in  managing  USAID  and/or  EU  funds  and  projects;
