How to participate
During the submission period (from the 30th September 2010 to 31st January 2011), competitors are invited to fill in the participation form and follow these five simple steps:
1. submit your personal info
2. choose your format (video, audio, illustration, text)
3. follow the instructions to upload your contribution
4. submit a title for your contribution
5. read and accept the terms and conditions
In which language can I participate?
You can send your contribution in any of the 23 official languages of the European Union. However, the content of the story may refer to any other language, not just European languages.
Format of the contributions
Competitors may submit their contributions/testimonials in any of these formats: video, audio, text, illustration (photo or drawing or graphics) with respect to these technical specifications:
- for audio and video: the maximum length is 2 minutes
- for illustrations : the maximum size allowed is A2
Prizes
One national winner per country will be invited to attend the Award Ceremony in Brussels on 10 May 2011. The 31 national winners will win a trip to Brussels and the people behind the scenes as well as the privilege to meet celebrities who support the competition. The European Commission will cover the travel and accommodation costs for the winners.
Three competitors among all the 31 finalists will be awarded in Brussels the title of European Champion. These three European Champions will receive a special prize.
Vote & Win!
During the public voting round, individuals may vote for the contributions of their choice. Three of the public voters will win a free trip to Brussels. Online voters can vote for contributions from any country including theirs (e.g. a German can vote for a Greek entry). However, they can only vote for a maximum of three contributions.
