Shoot Nations 2010 is a free global youth photography competition. It is joint partnership between Plan UK and Shoot Experience to encourage young people to express their thoughts on global issues through photography and drawings. The theme for the year 2010 is ‘City Living’.
Young people between the age of 11 and 25 years old are invited to enter 3 photos or drawings to express their opinions on the following three briefs:
1. What does ‘city’ mean to you?
2. Growing up in the city as a boy or a girl;
3. Country to city, city to country – people on the move.
There will be prizes for:
* Best Overall Photo Worldwide,
* Best Overall Photo UK,
* Best Drawing Worldwide
* Best Photo per Brief
The prizes will be awarded in each age group:
*11-16
*17-25.
Winners will be announced on Thursday 12 August, International Youth Day, and the launch of the International Year of Youth. Selected photos will be presented to the United Nations Headquarters as a light box installation in New York to celebrate the International Youth Day 2010.

Submission procedure
All interested participants can enter the competition by uploading one photo (or drawing) per brief through an online personal account. To each photo (drawing) there should be also a short description.
Apart from the photos the competition is open for drawings, which can be submitted by post to:
