UNICEF Office in Skopje would like to invite experienced national expert to apply for the temporary consultancy: Technical assistance for development of national strategy on prevention of juvenile delinquency.
Contract Duration
5 months (33 days)
The national expert will be responsible to:
A. Provide materials and information to prepare a situation analysis based on the available studies and research reports, provide written inputs for the situation analysis;
B. Provide support to review the existing policies, strategies and action plans that contribute to prevention of abuse, violence and exploitation of children across the relevant sectors (health, education, labour and social policy, justice, interior, finance). As per requested, provide written inputs;
C. Organize and participate meetings with the line ministries and relevant organizations to seek their inputs and suggestions for the strategy to prevent juvenile delinquency. Provide written feedback to the international expert;
D. Support the preparation of the National Strategy. Support the international consultant to revise the strategy based on comments of the Council.
E. Participate at four public debates for finalization of the Strategy. Support the international consultant to revise the Strategy based on the comment of the practicionnaires.
Requirements:
* advanced degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Social Policy, Law or related field;
* min 5 years of professional experience as development practitioner and/or in a social policy/social development advisory function;
* prior experience in development of policy and strategic plans in the field of child protection;
* additional competencies: analytical thinking and strategic planning skills, facilitation, negotiation, and communication;
* previous work experience with UN agencies is an asset;
* full mastery of the English language;
* excellent report writing and inter-personal skills.
