Open to: artists, cultural operators, cultural researchers and cultural writers
Deadline: open all year long
Grants: €300 – €700
Mobility is the life-blood of cultural cooperation. Artists and cultural workers need to move easily across borders to meet their international peers, exchange views, cooperate, and influence one another.
S.T.E.P. (Supporting Travel for European Projects) beyond supports mobility fund stimulates and supports cross-cultural creative projects in a wider Europe, enabling artists and cultural workers to collaborate, exchange, network and explore unfamiliar ground and different ways of working.
With each Eastward enlargement, the European Union acquires new borders and therefore new neighbouring states. The European Cultural Foundation wishes to strengthen cultural ties between those European countries that are not currently members of the EU and the present EU countries through supporting individual mobility in the setting-up phase of cultural and artistic initiatives.

The mobility fund is open to individual artists, cultural operators, cultural researchers and cultural writers (art critics and cultural journalists, etc) travelling to/from EU countries to/from the European Neighbourhood. The STEP beyond fund also supports travel to/from the South Caucasus as well as Turkey.
