University of Primorska

University of Primorska is located in Koper, Izola and Portorož  and is named for the Slovenian Littoral region (Slovenian Primorska) where it is located. The University of Primorska was established in 2003. The University comprises five Faculties – Faculty of Humanities of Koper, Faculty of Management of Koper, Faculty of Mathematics, Science and Information Technologies, Faculty of Education of Koper, Turistica – Faculty of Tourism Studies Portorož, one University College – College of Health Care of Izola and two Research Institutes – Science and Research Centre of Koper and Primorska Institute of Natural Sciences and Technology.

International Relations

The International Relations Office (IRO) gives support to incoming and outgoing students within the framework of the LLP/Erasmus and other international student exchange programmes. The IRO offers all information on procedures, application deadlines and other information related to studying and living in Slovenia. The IRO is also in charge of conducting bilateral agreements with foreign Universities, as well as maintaining contacts with other national and international institutions.

Courses Offered in English

At present only the Faculty of Management Koper and the Faculty of Tourism Studies Portorož- Turistica, offer courses in English for exchange students. The list of courses can be found at the following links:

Exchange students

The following procedure only applies to exchange students. Foreign students that wish to study at the University of Primorska as a regular students shall visit the Admission Office site.

Exchange students must submit the following completed forms:

* Application Form for Exchange Students
* Learning Agreement
* Housing Request Form
* Student Card Form

All the forms must be filled in electronically, printed, signed and sent to the Faculty to which the student is applying.

The Housing Request Form, the Student Card Form (both in word file) and one scanned photograph (passport format) saved as jpg. file, must be sent also by e-mail to erasmus.incoming@upr.si.

Deadline

June 15th for the first semester or full academic year
November 15th for the second semester.

Confirmation of Enrolment

The Confirmation of enrolment at the University of Primorska will be sent to the students by the Faculty coordinators after the expiration of the deadline for the applications.
The Faculty coordinators will also provide for the confirmation of Learning Agreements, therefore all questions related to the study content shall be addressed to them.

IRO is responsible for the accommodation and the student card issue. It will also provide support in all general information related to the University and necessary procedures for the application. Please send all your questions to erasmus.incoming@upr.si.
